My Friday Reads: A Thrilling & Heartfelt Escape

There’s nothing I love more than getting lost in a good book, and this week’s reads were a perfect mix of suspense, heartfelt journeys, and inspiring characters. I’m so excited to share my thoughts on the books that had me completely hooked.

So, pour yourself a cozy cup of coffee, and let’s dive in!

1. American Housewife by Anita Abriel

  • My Thoughts: This book was such a compelling read! I was completely invested in Maggie’s journey, especially as she navigated the challenges of being a woman in the public eye in the 1950s. The tension between her “perfect” on-camera persona and her messy, complicated private life was so captivating. I loved how the story explored the moral dilemmas she faced and how satisfying it was to see each character come full circle by the end.
  • My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

2. The Long Road Back to You by Buck Turner

  • My Thoughts: This was my first book by Buck Turner, and I absolutely loved it! If you’re a Nicholas Sparks fan, you will love this author, as their writing styles are so similar. This story grabbed me from the very beginning and wouldn’t let go! It’s so good with a lot of twists and turns. Charlie’s story is haunting and beautiful, with some very hard times in between, and I finished this book in one sitting.
  • My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

3. The Good Husband by Steve Frech

  • My Thoughts: This was a high-octane novel that I absolutely loved! The fast pace and unexpected plot developments had me hooked from the very beginning. I loved following this story from a male perspective; it definitely made for a refreshing read. Mark is a genuine good guy, and I was so invested in his journey to find out what really happened to his wife.
  • My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
