The Two-Shift Day & The Flat Tire Reality

It’s been a little quiet in the Command Center lately, hasn’t it? If I’m being honest—the kind of honest that requires coffee and a deep breath—I was teetering on the edge of burnout. It happens to the best of us, especially when you’re balancing a creative passion and a body that likes to dictate its own energy schedule.

But as I sat with that overwhelm, another shadow was growing: the budget. We’ve all felt it. Everything is going up. The cost of groceries, the cost of gas, the cost of the very “blanks” that I need to create for you. We are committed to moving our studio 100% in-house with high-quality, physical goods, but that dream requires money.

So, I made a CEO decision. In order to better serve the needs of you and my family, I am ‘daylighting’ as a Spark delivery driver. While I have done this on and off for a little over a year when the need would arise, this time feels different.

Doing it now isn’t just about ‘getting by’—it’s a strategic move to fuel the relaunch of StillSheCreatesCo. It’s about building a solid foundation so I can bring you the high-quality, in-house apparel and laser-engraved goods I’ve been dreaming of, without the stress of rising costs hanging over every decision.

Of course, life loves a punchline. The universe decided to test my ‘CEO’ resolve this morning. Just as I was ready to hit the road, I walked out to a flat tire. 🙃 It was a frustrating detour, but, it also reminded me why the ‘Still’ in our name is so important. Sometimes you have to pause, fix the tire, and then get back to the work once the pizza is in the oven.
