September Reading Wrap-Up & What I’m Reading in October

September was a great reading month! I spent the month diving into some fantastic books, and now I’m excited to share my thoughts and give you a sneak peek at what’s on my to-be-read list for October.

September Reads:

Here are the books I finished in September, along with my thoughts and ratings.

  • Cowgirls Don’t Cry by Mackenzie Hart
    • Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
    • Review: I was a little apprehensive about reading this one due to the trigger warnings but, I am so glad I did! This book is was about second-chance love and always being able to go home again!
  • In The Dark (An ARC book)
    • Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
    • Review: I received this book as an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review. This book started out a little slow for me but quickly picked up speed as it went. OMG let me just say that the cliff hanger in this one has me feeling all sorts of ways! I kind of suspected one of the things revealed in the ending but I literally gasped out loud with the MFC said it! This book seemed to have it all, romance, intrigue, thrills, spice, and magic.
  • Cash by Jessica Peterson
    • Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
    • Review: This is a cute cowboy romance. It is your typically she hates him, he hates her, they are forced to work together for the greater good and end up falling in love. There is quite a bit of spice in this book and it is book 1 of the Lucky River Ranch series.
  • Hot Four Teacher: the Lawsons book 4 (An ARC book) by Stephanie Renee
    • Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
    • Review: I received this book as an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review. Let me just say that I absolutely loved this book! I was constantly laughing and cooing throughout the entire book. This book does contain some spice and strong language, so if that is something you don’t like, then you might wanna skip this one. The storyline put me in the mindset of Gilmore Girls, which is my favorite show!
  • Lucky Penny (An ARC book) by Katherine Bitner
    • Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
    • Review: I also received this book as an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review. This was my first Katherine Bitner book and I just fell in love with the characters instantly. The FMC and MMC were both very relatable and well developed. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.
