Wellness Monday: The “I Missed My Sunday Reset” Survival Guide

Happy Monday—or as I’m calling it today, ‘Sunday 2.0.’

Let’s be real: The ‘Sunday Reset’ is everywhere on social media. It looks like clean sheets, meal-prepped glass containers, and a perfectly color-coded planner. But for those of us living a Low-Energy Lifestyle, Sunday doesn’t always go as planned.

Yesterday, I was tied up. I was tired. I was in ‘The Boot.’ And honestly? My brain just needed to be ‘off.’ In the past, missing my Sunday planning would have sent me into a mental spiral. I would have woken up today feeling like I was already three miles behind in a race I never signed up for.

The Filter: Surviving vs. Thriving In our new way of looking at wellness, we don’t ‘thrive’ by forcing a schedule on a body that’s screaming for rest. We survive by giving ourselves the Grace Clause. If you’re starting your week feeling ‘behind,’ here is my 3-step survival guide for a Monday Reset:

1. The ‘Brain Dump’ (No Aesthetics Allowed)

Don’t worry about making your planner look pretty today. Grab a scrap of paper or a blank page and dump every single ‘to-do’ swimming in your head. Getting it out of your brain and onto paper reduces the mental weight immediately.

2. The Location Pivot

If you’re like me and currently non-weight bearing, don’t feel like you have to be at a desk to be ‘productive.’ My ‘office’ today is the left side of the couch with my foot propped up on three pillows. Productivity is a mindset, not a physical location.

3. Invoking the Grace Clause

Look at your list. What actually has to happen today? If you’re struggling with a flare or injury, pick three ‘Bare Minimum’ wins. Everything else gets moved to Wednesday or Friday. Moving a task isn’t failing; it’s managing your resources.

The Bottom Line: Wellness isn’t about the perfectly planned week. It’s about how you treat yourself when the plan falls apart. Today, I’m choosing grace over the grind.
